So one thing that always cracks me up is when GT fans insist that the events in BOG did take place in the GT timeline. Id like to point something out to anyone who believes this but first I'd like to say I don't bash GT I appreciate it for what it is a ( fan-made ) alternate universe. I call it fan made because it wasn't written/created by Akira but by a group of fans who didn't want the series to end ( professional or not they were still fans ). Now with that little bit out of the way in BOG Lord Beerus says that he is the God of Destruction of the 7th universe and that there are 12 universes. Meaning every universe has it's own God of Destruction . Like I mentioned before GT is an alternate universe meaning it would in fact be one of those other 11 universes that Lord Beerus spoke of and would have it's own God of Destruction. With that being said One can conclude that BOG did NOT happen in the GT timeline.

i wouldn't say the 12 universes would have the same beings with different changes, i'd like to think of it as different worlds (like how namek and earth are different, but on large scales). GT events do not happen in the DB cannon and thus BoG replaced GT.
a few things from BoG can tie in to GT like goku being extremely stronger than his ssj3 buu saga form, but a few other things can make it not tie in, such as pilaf's gang being small and not old.
